High Technology Careers
New Mexico’s defense, aerospace, national laboratory, technology, and advanced manufacturing sectors offer career opportunities for high-tech professionals, transitioning service members, and military retirees alike.
New Mexico provides no-cost child care for families who are working or attending school — regardless of income. Families moving here should check the state’s current eligibility, enrollment requirements, and provider availability.

Eligible residents can attend the state's public colleges and universities tuition-free through the New Mexico Opportunity Scholarship or the New Mexico Lottery Scholarship.

The New Mexico Question

In 1996 the New Mexico State Legislature passed a House Joint Memorial declaring “Red or Green?” as the official state question.

In 2007 "Red and green or Christmas" is adopted as the official state answer.

This refers to the question always asked whether one prefers red chile, green chile or both (Christmas) when ordering New Mexican cuisine.
