Heidi Kamei came to the Albuquerque area after growing up in North Texas and spending most of her adult life as a military wife (30 years!). She is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where she met her husband of 34 years, Mike. They have two adult children. Prior to getting her real estate license in New Mexico, Heidi actively volunteered with her girls' activities as well as church, community, Red Cross, and historical preservation/living history groups while her husband was assigned to various duty stations around the U.S. Heidi enjoys cooking, especially food from different cultures (she likes both red and green but prefers green); gardening and food preservation; historical preservation, and history in general. Albuquerque has provided the opportunity to satisfy all her interests. As someone who moved frequently, Heidi realizes the importance of “blooming where you are planted.” She wants to help other families find a place to bloom in the Albuquerque area.
